No Sushi Fo You!

Recently The New York Times found dangerously high mercury levels in tuna at Manhattan sushi restaurants. Their research found out that as few as six pieces of bluefin tuna a week over several months, can lead to adult mercury levels exceeding EPA safety recommendations. The study confirms warnings that oceanographers and fishery experts have been making for a long time. Rampant development of coal-powered plants worldwide damages more than the atmosphere. Women on Acid … Folic Acid

The CDC (Center for Disease Control) urged all women—and particularly young women—to make sure they get enough folic acid.  “All women, especially younger women ages 18-24 years, need to consume 400 micrograms of folic acid daily through supplements, fortified foods, or both in addition to a folate-rich diet to prevent serious birth defects” called neural tube defects, which affect the brain and spinal cord, states a CDC news release.
